Neil Bousfield studied at Bristol’s University
of the West of England where he gained a Master of Arts degree in Multi-Disciplinary
Printmaking, awarded with distinction in 2007. Born in Middlesbrough, Neil grew
up in the coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, in North Yorkshire.
An elected
member of The Society of Wood
Engravers and the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, Neil exhibits regularly
with both societies alongside exhibitions in the UK and USA. His work is held
in private and major public collections including the Ashmolean Museum,
National Art Library, Victoria & Albert Prints and Drawings Collection, Ohio State University Libraries, USA and Manchester Metropolitan

Although contexts change, drawing and narrative remain steadfast within
Neil’s personal practice within printmaking and the technique of wood
engraving. Neil now lives and works in Norfolk.
